Montville Lazar students Etash Arni, Thomas Jenkins, Zaara Mehta and Viraj Sharma did it again. This past Saturday, they placed 2nd in the teamwork challenge for the New Jersey VEX Pitching-In State Championship. Their performance has qualified the team for the 2022 Vex Robotics World Championship to be held this May in Texas. Known as the “Constructicons,” they were the only independent team at the state competition not sponsored by a school or club.  This middle school team has worked really hard on building two different robots this season, coding it and practicing their driving skills. Their latest model was very complex and ambitious but they worked through the challenges to be ready for the state competition. Their goal right now is to improve the coding of their robot and get it ready for the World Championship.
