Up next on TAPinto Cranford's "High School Senior Spotlight" is Anthony DeCostello.
Anthony began his schooling in Chicago before moving to Cranford in 4th grade. He attended Livingston Avenue School until 5th grade, and Hillside Avenue School for grades 6-8 before entering Cranford High School.
While in high school. Anthony played football for all four years, including three years of starting on the varsity team. He played on both sides of the ball - as an H-back on offense and rotated between the Lion and Ram safety position on defense. He would have played in the 2020 Snapple Bowl if the COVID-19 pandemic didn't occur. Along with football, Anthony also played on the varsity boys basketball team and ran varsity track.
Anthony was also a part of Cranford High School DECA, the National Honor Society, and the German National Honor Society. He was also very activate in fundraising for his graduating class.
Graduating with a 3.89 GPA from Cranford High School, Anthony will go on to attend and continue his football career at Gettysburg University.
"Anthony, we love you and couldn't be prouder. You are a phenomenal role model for your brother and other aspiring athletes," said Danielle DeCostello.
