Roxbury Arts Alliance

+ Post Your Listing

The Roxbury Arts Alliance is a volunteer group that has been promoting the arts in and around Roxbury Township, New Jersey since 1997.

What began with occasional performances in coffee houses and local houses of worship by several parents of Roxbury High School parents has evolved into year-round programming, classes, and performances.

In 2009, we opened The Investors Bank Theater, now home to the Roxbury Performing Arts Center.

Throughout the years, we have been home to a variety of artistic endeavors, including:

  • Music Performances
  • Poetry Festivals
  • Comedy Revues
  • Free Summer Concerts, Outdoor in the Band Shell
  • Violin Recitals
  • Songwriter Guild Open Mic Nights
  • Dance Performances
  • Talent Shows
  • Ongoing Art Displays
  • Radio Shows
  • Children’s Entertainers and Shows
  • Comedy and Drama Performances

The Investors Bank Theater is home to professional and amateur artists alike.  We strive to offer renowned acts that appeal to a variety of tastes; we offer families and their children opportunities to see live performances and to learn about the arts.  Dramatic productions include comedies, dramas, and musical theater.

But we don’t stop there. We want to share our passion and our mission; therefore we often serve as consultants in support of other events in Roxbury, and we work with other organizations to promote an appreciation in the arts throughout Morris County.

The Roxbury Arts Alliance is a 501(c) (3), non-profit organization. Donate today.

Events at the Roxbury Performing Arts Center

Roxbury Arts Alliance volunteers are constantly working to bring a variety of quality programming to residents of the region. Programming at the Roxbury Performing Arts Center generally falls under one or more of the following categories:

1. Aspiring Artist Series – this is often combined with our Summer Concert Series and showcases local performers.

2. Theater Alliance Program – we work with regional theater groups to bring performances to Roxbury township.

3. Acting/Comedy/Dancing Classes & Workshops – teachers work with all ages to help people learn the joy of performing.

4. Family Entertainment Events – concerts and performances that appeal to all age groups.

Roxbury Arts Alliance Scholarship

The Roxbury Arts Alliance continues to support arts, both visual and performing, in our townships public schools. The Roxbury Arts Alliance actively supports the Roxbury Band, Choir, and Dance Programs at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. The RAA is an ongoing supporter of our home-grown talent.

In conjunction with the Art Association of Roxbury, we offer an ongoing "art show," a changing display of artwork by local artists in our theater.

Since 1998 the Roxbury Arts Alliance Scholarship has been awarded to one or more graduating Roxbury High School students who have demonstrated outstanding abilities in one or more areas of the arts such as music, dance, literature or visual arts.
