8/29/2020 at 8:01 a.m. — 700 block of Clark St.

Motor Vehicle Theft

A resident of the 700 block of Clark St reports that their 2019 Audi was stolen from their driveway. The theft occurred overnight. The victim reports the approximate value of the vehicle to be $40,000. The victim stated that they believe a key was left in the vehicle at the time of the theft. There were no signs of criminal mischief at the scene, thus it appears that the vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft. The victim did not report that anything of value was left in the vehicle at the time of the theft.

8/29/2020 at 12 p.m. — 1700 block of Boulevard


A resident of the 1700 block of Boulevard reports being the victim of fraud. Victim reports that unknown actor(s) accessed his computer in an attempt to make him believe that they scanned his computer and that he needed to purchase antivirus software in order to fix issues with his computer.  At this time, there has been no monetary loss due to the fact that the credit card had been canceled prior to any purchase going through. 

9/5/2020 at 4:30 p.m. — 500 block of Springfield Ave.

Motor Vehicle Burglary

An individual in the 500 block of Springfield Avenue reports being the victim of a motor vehicle burglary and theft.  Unknown actor entered the victim's vehicle and removed numerous items from the vehicle without the victim's authorization. The victim reports that numerous credit cards were removed from the motor vehicle upon entry by the unknown actor. The stolen credit cards were later used to make purchases at numerous stores. The total amount of purchases made on the stolen credit cards was approximately $1,203.92.
