RARITAN TWP, NJ - Raritan Township Police have released an updated police blotter for early September, including arrets for drugs.
- Sgt. Robert Landolina investigated an incident Sept. 9 at about 3:15 p.m. in which two juveniles purchased a container of vape juice and a vape device from Up in Smoke, on Route 202/31. Landolina issued a complaint summons to store owner Karin E. Fialka, 47, of Whitehouse Station, for selling cigarettes to persons under 19 years of age.
- On Sept. 10, at about 10:50 p.m., Officer Paige Montillo stopped to assist a disabled vehicle on Walter Foran Boulevard, and, upon approach, the officer detected the smell of marijuana. The driver, La Tarsha McClennion, 42, identified her passenger as being her son, Deshawn Dewitt. The passenger was later identified as Tashad McCennion, 21. Both occupants had provided police with a false name for Tashad because they thought he had a warrant for his arrest. Both were charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution, and Tashad was also charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. Montillo made the arrests.
