During the period between November 2 and November 8, 2020 members of the GRPD handled 255 calls for service, the highlights of which included:

11-4-2020 - 10:16 AM – A resident of Kent Road reported she was the victim of identity theft.  She stated that she received several letters from the state of Massachusetts Unemployment Division advising her that her unemployment benefits were denied. The victim had never applied for unemployment benefits and she believes someone was fraudulently using her information. The Detective Bureau is investigating.  

11-4-2020 - 3:45 PM – Officers responded to the Glen Courts Senior Building on Glen Avenue for a report of criminal mischief.  Unknown actor(s) spray painted graffiti on several fence panels near the parking area facing the railroad tracks.  Detective Bureau is investigating.

11-6-2020 - 11:30 PM – The Glen Rock Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that occurred on Maple Avenue in front of Wilde Park. It appears that an unknown vehicle was traveling north on Maple Ave and struck a telephone pole which caused the pole to break in half.  The vehicle then fled the scene of the accident and continued north on Maple Avenue. Anyone with any information on the accident or vehicle involved is asked to contact Traffic Sergeant McGovern at 201-652-3800.  

11-7-2020 - 2:35 PM – Patrol responded to Bottle King located at 909 Prospect Street on a report of shoplifting.  The store manager reported that a female and male entered the store together and that the female was observed taking items and removing them from the store without paying.  Both actors left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.  The Detective Bureau is investigating.
