10/11/2020 - 9:05 am Wanted Person: P.O. Gilot Castor & P.O. Stephen Buskiewicz responded to the area of CVS Pharmacy, 29-00 Broadway, after Jose Vasquez, age 53 of Paterson, was seen inside of CVS after he had been ordered to no longer enter the premises due to past shoplifting arrests. Vasquez was found hiding by the back entrance of 31-00 Broadway where he was arrested. Vasquez was charged with defiant trespassing, then was handed over to Clifton Police after a no-bail arrest warrant was located.

10/15/2020 - 12:23 pm Shoplifting: Fair Lawn Police responded to the area of CVS Pharmacy, 29-00 Broadway, after a male suspect fled from the store with unpaid items in a backpack. P.O. John Kelly & P.O. Tiller Uriarte arrested Jamie Rojas, age 34 of Bloomfield, on Broadway at 27th Street with the stolen proceeds that totaled $258.49. He was released after being charged with

10/22/2020 - 10:58 am Prostitution: The Fair Lawn Police Detective Bureau conducted an investigation into prostitution occurring at the Hyatt Place, 41-01 Broadway, and arrested Jordana Silva, age 29 of Newark, after an undercover officer was sent in and confirmed illegal activity. Silva was released after being charged with prostitution & promoting prostitution.

10/24/2020 - 4:21 pm Narcotics: Fair Lawn Police responded to Route 208 North approaching McBride Avenue on a report from a third party of a female needing medical assistance. Upon arrival, officers rendered aid to the female operator (age 38, North Caldwell) while other officers spoke with the passenger, Zachary Fischer (age 23, Upper Saddle River), attempting to get information. While speaking with Fischer, random pills and containers were found inside the vehicle. Fischer was arrested after pills, believed to be fentanyl, were found in his pockets. Fischer was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & possession of drug paraphernalia. The female patient was transported by Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance to Valley Hospital for treatment.

Chief Glen Cauwels stated all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
