Thanks, Coach!

These are the first two words that come to mind when I think about Bret Sayre. He's been my daughter's softball coach over the course of the last three years, and he's shown consistent leadership season after season. Bret has illustrated a high level of patience and creativity in order to effectively organize, engage and motivate a group of people. This goes for both the team he coaches and their parents. Bret has brought us all into his world as an extension of his own warm and loving family.

Coaching my own son's baseball teams, I understand the effort and dedication one needs to put forth to develop a sense of team, comradery and sportsmanship. Bret does this effortlessly. He speaks from a place of understanding and sincerity, and always has your best interest in mind. We know when our daughter is on Bret's team, she's going to have a meaningful experience, we know she will be safe, we know she will give her best and we know she will be encouraged to do her best.

This is due to Bret's dedication, his leadership and tireless effort to deliver a winning experience for the girls and families of Berkeley Heights. He goes above and beyond on a regular basis, whether it’s working to secure our girls an additional quality softball field to use on the Nokia property or he’s out turning over the infield at Upper Columbia the morning before a game so that the team can play. He is selfless in his efforts and I have always observed him doing right by the people around him. It is this dedication, leadership and tireless effort he will bring to the people of Berkeley Heights!
