On Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 7pm, the Scotch Plains Public Library will hold a virtual discussion of Book of the Little Axe by Lauren Francis-Sharma. Participants will be able to access this title as an e-book for a two-week period using the Libby app without waitlists or holds September 14-28 as a nationwide “Libraries Transform” Book Pick. Advanced registration is required to join the discussion via Zoom.

Spanning decades, Book of the Little Axe is about Rosa, an 18th-century teenager in Trinidad who finds new life, freedom, and family in the American West. But when her son comes of age, his way forward is blocked by Rosa’s secret. She takes him on a journey to retrace her own roots and rediscover who she was and who she became.

Registration is required. Registered participants will receive a Zoom link via email a day or two in advance of the meeting.

The registration form, and information about our entire month of programming, can be found at www.scotlib.org
