CLIFTON, NJ   –  The Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) will be flushing water mains in Paterson and Woodland Park over the next month. Flushing the water mains will help maintain water quality by removing sediment that slowly collects in the system.

There may be some unavoidable discoloration or low pressure during the flushing. PVWC assures all customers that the water will be safe for use during this period.

If you see water discoloration, you should open the cold-water faucets and allow the water to run for a minute or two until it runs clear. Avoid washing clothes with discolored water as some staining may occur. Do not open the hot-water faucets until your water runs clear.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

The water main flushing will occur between 8:00 pm and 4:00 am through November 20th.
