NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - “Making a difference, that is what life is about. Making the world a little bit better and helping your fellow people,” said New Providence Mayor Al Morgan who was on hand to support local business owner Craig Bass, of Bagel Cafe NP, who received the very first Impact Award from local charity With Grace Initiative.
The award was presented by 11 year old cancer conqueror and With Grace founder, Grace Eline, on Friday morning right in front of the New Providence hotspot on Springfield Avenue. The award was created with the intent of giving it to a person or business that goes above and beyond their standard call of duty to make a positive impact on the lives of others. “The Bagel Cafe team, led by Craig, have supported Grace and this initiative from (even before) day one,” said a post on the With Grace Facebook page.
Bass, along with his employees, have supplied bagels and sandwiches on numerous occasions to the With Grace Initiative who then hand delivers them to local hospitals to help raise spirits. “We could not bring smiles to the pediatric cancer warriors, their families and their hospital care takers without this support,” explained Eline.
Eline presented Bass with an Impact Award plaque, “love and good vibes” and a With Grace tee shirt. Bass proudly accepted the gesture and expressed his appreciation and commitment to Eline and her charity, “Grace, keep doing what you are doing, and we will be behind you the whole time.”
WITH Grace was created to make an impact by supporting pediatric cancer research initiatives and families when they need it most. They collect supplies and gifts to give to less fortunate cancer families, so they can focus on the fight. They gather funds to support pediatric cancer research initiatives and cancer family support organizations as well as actively participate in advocacy for pediatric cancer funding so no one else has to feel the pain of this disease. They inspire acts of kindness towards others WITH Grace. For more information on this local charity please visit their website, www.withgraceinitiative.org.
