SADDLE BROOK, NJ - The Bergen County Prosecutor has charged a 22-year-old Paterson man with aggravated sexual assault after police alleged the man sexually penetrated an incapacitated individual in the borough.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Hakeem Taylor, a single unemployed man, on a report filed on Feb. 8 that he "sexually penetrated a person while the person was incapacitated and unable to provide consent."

As a result of that information, an investigation was initiated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit and the Saddle Brook Police Department.

Taylor was arrested on February 25 and charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault, and is currently lodged at the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
