FLEMINGTON, NJ — Hunterdon Central scored four goals in the first period and held on to defeat Middletown South in ice hockey, 4-1, on Monday.

Jack Schnack, Colin Watson, Payton Miller and Thomas Smith each scored a goal for the Red Devils (5-4), who relied on their defense and goaltending the rest of the way.

Smith, Schnack, Nick Krupa, Darin Michaels, Jozef Polacek and Thomas Klesat all were credited with assists. Jack Menichillo made 22 saves in the victory.
