HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - The Borough of Hasbrouck Heights will host an shredding event for borough residents on Saturday, September 26, from 9am to 1pm at the Central Ave parking lot (enter from Burton Avenue.)

All personal documents with or without paper clips, staples and paperboard binder covers will be shredded on site.  Hardcover books, magazines, newspapers, photographs, plastic binder covers, and x-rays are not acceptable for shredding.  Participants are limited to four (4) bags/boxes per vehicle, no more than 10 lbs. each.

Due to COVID-19, all residents must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure the safety and success of the day. All residents must remain in their vehicles at all times.  This means that you will not be able to watch your paperwork get shredded.  If this is a concern for you, we recommend you wait until the next shredding event.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

A DPW worker will come to your vehicle to get your paper.  Please have the box or bag to be shredded in an easily accessible location, such as the trunk or backseat.  This will allow our DPW staff to retrieve the items safely.
