HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - Hasbrouck Heights High School senior Chiara Colletti received the Noomburg Annuzzi  Scholarship from the Hasbrouck Heights Elks Lodge #1962.

The scholarship is normally awarded at the annual Hasbrouck Heights awards night in early June. With schools still closed, the event was canceled. Joyce Powell of the Elks invited Colletti and her family to the "Thank You BBQ" for first responders in mid-June to award her the scholarship.

Powell explained the scholarship is named after two past District deputies, Jack Noomburg, who passed away in November 2018, and Dominick Annuzzi, who passed away in April.
