SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Union Catholic girls basketball team celebrated Senior Day with a 45-28 victory over Roselle Catholic on Wednesday night. 

The Vikings, who never trailed in the game, raced out to a 15-4 lead and stayed in controlled the whole way to improve their record to 5-6 on the season.

Senior Madison Johnson had 13 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals for UC. Senior Sabrina Araujo finished with 11 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Junior Daniela Peralta scored nine points and pulled down five rebounds, and junior Kayla Riley scored five points and four assists for the Vikings.

UC will close out its season on Saturday at Gov. Livingston at 2 p.m.
