GLEN ROCK, NJ - A timeless tradition, carving a pumpkin at Halloween. Memories of newspaper on the table, a 12-inch pumpkin, a large carving knife that only mom got to use, and lots of pumpkin guts to pull out.
It's more fun now than ever! Especially with Glen Rock Chamber of Commerce Great Pumpkin Contest in which competitor's will have their pumpkins line Rock Road outside businesses, and with social distancing and face coverings, everyone can vote on the best pumpkins within the categories listed below on October 31 with local businesses offering prizes. And everyone is welcome, even non-residents of Glen Rock.
Carved and/or decorated pumpkins must be dropped off on Friday, October 30 at the Creative Den, 216 Rock Road, between 3 and 5 p.m. or Saturday, October 31 between 9 and 10 a.m. Voting begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 31 using the bar code on the flyer which will be posted at each store where a pumpkin is on display.
