FAIR LAWN, NJ - The borough's police department is organizing the 18th annual remembrance ceremony for Officer Mary Ann Collura #136 on Saturday, April 17 at 8 p.m.

The officer died in the line of duty on Thursday, April 17, 2003 in a shocking chase that ended at Van Riper Ellis Church, corner of Morlot Avenue and River Road.

Each year, police and her family have organized various remembrances of her. There was not an official ceremony last year due to COVID-19.

Collura's portrait still hangs in the municipal courtroom.

This year's remembrance will be an in-person vigil with a glow stick light ceremony at Van Riper Ellis Church. The entrance to the church parking lot is on Bellair Avenue off of River Road.
