SUMMIT, NJ - The New Jersey State Department of Health (NJDOH) confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 in the City of Summit on October 26. The cases take Summit's cumulative case total since the onset of the pandemic over the 300-case threshold, to 301.

There have now been 49 cases of the virus confirmed so far in October. The NJDOH also issued a summary of Summit case numbers by month, and the totals vary slightly from what has been reported since the first case was confirmed.

Specifically, March now shows 52 cases and April 119. Previously, March's total was 40 and April's sum was 131, meaning 12 cases reported in April are now shown as being confirmed in March. All other monthly totals remain the same:
