Semolina Restaurant and Shop Wine and Dine have combined their expertise, skills, knowledge and love of Italy's food, wine and culture to bring "A Taste of Sicily in Millburn," a Sicily-inspired tasting-menu dinner with paired wines, to Semolina Ristorante in Millburn on Thursday, June 25.

Joseph Catalano, Semolina's owner and executive chef, whose family is from Sicily, has created the menu featuring specialties typical of the island. Anna Maria Sorrentino, founder and president of Shop Wine and Dine - Italy Food and Wine Travel Concepts, in collaboration with Italian Wine Merchants, a New York wine vendor specializing in Italian wines, has made the wine selections that best complement the entrees.

Tasting notes on the wines being poured will be presented to each participant and a discussion about the wines will be conducted following each pouring by one of Italian Wine Merchant's Portfolio Managers.

Tasting menu dinners with paired wines along with opportunities to experience life as it's lived and savored by the Italians, are typically part of Shop Wine and Dine's featured or custom-designed programs. However, if Italy is not in your eminent travel plans, you can get a Taste of Sicily in Millburn while dining al fresco, in Semolina's courtyard dining area* on Thursday, June 25th, making it a perfect gift for Father's Day.

As space will be limited to 30 people, payment in full will be required at the time of the booking. For further information or to make a reservation and payment please contact Anna Maria Sorrentino at 973-467-4418 or write to

Net proceeds will be donated through the Italian American Museum Earthquake Relief Fund 2009 to benefit the earthquake victims in L' Aquila.

*Weather permitting-in case of rain, the dinner will be served in Semolina's dining room
