EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Dori Saypol, owner of Total Party in East Brunswick, joined the nationwide network of balloon businesses participating in the “Adopt-a-Grandparent” campaign. The goal was to spread joy and love to those in nursing homes and long-term care facilities by gifting each patient their own Balloon Buddy.
"People are still not able to get inside to see their families. This is a way that we're hoping to brighten their day when they can't see their families. Each balloon buddy came with a poem keepsake reminding them that they are loved," said Saypol
With the help of other businesses in the East Brunswick local community, all the residents at the new CareOne Memory Care location, all the residents at Sunrise of East Brunswick, and all the residents at the CareOne Assisted Living Facility and Rehab Center were adopted.
Brunswick Memorial Home joined on as a corporate sponsor to adopt 30 residents at CareOne. "It was a feel-good movement bringing smiles to over 180 faces after 10 months of loneliness," Saypol said.
Dori Saypol is a life-long resident of East Brunswick. She founded Total Party in 2002 and is a Certified Balloon Artist.
She is on the Board of the East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce.
