You’re not just a number at Mary Help of Christians Academy, you’re someone who deserves to be seen, known and challenged to be the best version of yourself. With an average student to teacher ratio of 6:1, Mary Help of Christians Academy’s personalized approach to education has always been one if its greatest assets. This year of the Covid-19 pandemic has proven this to be true more than ever.

“When the state started closing businesses and schools, MHC Academy girls and staff adjusted without missing a day of instruction. The dedication the staff and administration have to our girls’ education was never in doubt, Covid-19 validated this,” says Patricia Lamendola who sent all three daughters to the Academy. Further, “MHC Academy challenges the girls, stimulates them to want to learn for the sake of knowledge. Some schools say, ‘we listen;’ but the Academy really DOES listen to the girls and the parents. The staff and administration are dedicated to teaching the whole girl.”

MHC Academy has been offering the flexibility of in-person learning or remote learning for its families. Teachers have been equipped to seamlessly engage their students, which means learning has continued uninterrupted for all. Additionally, school activities, sports and class retreats have continued this year ensuring that MHC Academy students enjoy the full experience of being with their classmates and peers outside the classroom as well. Parent Denise Alston says, “My daughter was able to maintain a sense of normalcy and freedom because the school kept up with on campus activities. What an amazing support group they have been for the whole family!"
