Dear Editor:
I am pleased to report that the 5th Annual Chatham Turkey Trot ( was our most successful (and coldest) race ever. The event attracted more than 600 runners and raised in excess of $15,000, which will benefit the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Diabetes Research Institute.It was only fitting that Chatham Township Mayor Hagner declared it “Chatham Turkey Trot Day” as our race continues to grow in popularity. The event offers the Chatham community the opportunity to come together to give thanks for all that we have and to raise funds for those dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of others. We remain grateful for the support of our neighbors, race participants, local businesses, the Chatham Township Fire Department, the Department of Publics Works, the Police Department, the Emergency Squad, as well as our public officials, who have made this a hallmark holiday tradition in Chatham.

  • 5K Boy’s Winner – Willie O'Neil - 22.25 5K
  • Girl’s Winner – Hailey Harkins - 24.40
  • 1 Mile Family Fun Run Boy’s Winner – Josh James
  • 1 Mile Family Fun Run Girl’s Winner – Lana DePasquale
