TRENTON, NJ - Gov. Chris Christie has declared a State of Emergency for all of New Jersey due to the snowstorm.
All vehicles should be off the roads unless they are deemed essential for travel. Snow removal vehicles, police, ambulances, fire equipment, utility trucks and emergency personnel are considered essential.
The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the state until 6 a.m. on Wednesday. Total snow accumulation from the storm is forecast to be between 6 and 10 inches before it subsides late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.
Additionally, temperatures that could fall into the single-digits and winds that could approach 30 mph in gusts will further imperil travelers overnight. Temperatures are not forecast to nudge above freezing until at least Saturday.
