Michael Borodinsky to be Installed as President of Community Builders & Remodelers Association of New Jersey

Community Builders & Remodelers Association of New Jersey

Wednesday, January 18, 2012 • 4:31pm

The Community Builders & Remodelers Association of New Jersey (CBRANJ) has announced that it will install Michael Borodinsky of Met Life Home Loans as its new President on Jan. 19 during the organization’s Annual Installation ceremony at the Westminster Hotel in Livingston.

Mr. Borodinsky will lead members of a new CBRANJ Executive Committee who are being installed alongside him, including: 1st Vice President Philip Calinda, Jr.; Vice President/Treasurer Frank Belgiovine; Vice President/Secretary John Healey; Vice President of Associate Affairs Jim O’Brien; 2nd Vice President of Associate Affairs Colleen Meloro; and Immediate Past President Jason Bossart.

Mr. Borodinsky currently serves as Manager of Builder Development at Met Life Home Loans, a division of Met Life Bank. The industry veteran of 28 years has been actively supporting the CBRANJ on a local and statewide level for a number of years and has served on several statewide committees for the New Jersey Builders Association. He is eager to begin his term because he foresees a productive year for both the association and for the real estate industry as a whole.

“Despite the challenging economic environment, I see great progress ahead for the Community Builders and Remodelers Association of New Jersey,” Mr. Borodinsky said. “The new inventory of homes coming back onto the market due to foreclosure provides an enormous opportunity for builders and remodelers to update our housing stock. This will support a new wave of homebuyers who will pay lower prices at historically low interest rates. Developers are finding strong demand for their new projects as well, with new rental apartments and luxury condominium sales in the metropolitan region all faring well. My goal is to capitalize on this opportunity by providing greater support to our local home builders and to our housing industry. I believe that a housing recovery is crucial to creating new jobs and turning around our stagnant economy.”

In addition to the Executive Committee members, the following members will be installed onto the CBRANJ Board of Directors for 2012: Barry Salmon, Bill Meller, Blair Severino, Dennis Loh, Douglas Henshaw, Esq., Eric Allena, Eric Keller, Eric Metzler, Greg Kanter, Jim Nigro, Justin Adler, Lou Coiro, Matt Wendorff, Rick Reimers, Robert Fallone, Susan Rubright, Esq. and Zachary Csik.

The CBRANJ is a local professional trade organization, affiliated with the New Jersey Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders, which was formed to promote and protect all segments of the residential building industry and its customers in Essex, Morris, Union, Somerset, Warren and Hunterdon counties. Its mission is to enhance its members’ ability to provide safe, affordable, quality housing, remodeling and commercial development to the citizens of New Jersey.

The CBRANJ Installation event begins at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19. For more information on the Association, visit www.cbanj.org.
