SPARTA, NJ - Sparta Detective Terrence Mulligan has concluded his investigation regarding the theft of cash from a local eatery.  The business is located in White Deer Plaza.  The owner had reported to police that it appears that approximately $4,500.00 in cash was taken from the stores safe over a period of two months.

Subsequent investigation showed that a former employee, 21-year-old Lindsay N. Schroeder of Franklin Borough had stolen the money.  She had the combination to the safe and stole cash in the increments of approximately $200.00 at a time. Schroeder explained to Det. Mulligan that her heroin addiction fueled her behavior in this matter.

Schroeder was processed at Police Headquarters on July 28th and charged with one count of; Theft of Movable Property, $4,500.00 in cash (Crime of the Third Degree).  She was released several hours later on her own recognizance.
