Harmonium Choral Society of Morristown celebrated the 15th Anniversary of its Annual High School Student Choral Composition Contest and honored past and present contest winners. During the Harmonium concert "From the Mountains to the Sea," the chorus performed “Nightingales” by Jacob Gelber of Cranford High School and Grand Prize winner of this year’s student composition contest.

The select Harmonium Chamber Singers performed “Sea Fever” by Jamie Currie of New Providence High School, selected as this year’s Runner-Up. The award-winning compositions were featured and recorded live during the concert performance.

In addition, Harmonium presented a world premiere of five choral works based on the poetry of Robert L. Stevenson. The works include "The Wind" by Stefan Swanson (2000 Grand Prize Winner), "Foreign Lands" by Benjamin Schroeder (1998 Honorable Mention), "Where Go the Boats?" by Dale Trumbore (2005 Grand Prize Winner), "Looking-Glass River" by Tim Laciano (2011, 2010 Grand Prize Winner and 2009 Runner-Up) and "Autumn Fires" by composition contest coordinator Martin A. Sedek.
