Family Fun for All at Summer Kick Off Event
Monday, June 4, 2012 • 5:41pm
This Summer, you can watch the U.S. Gymnastics team strive for Gold in London. Until then, you can play like those gymnasts did as kids at Giant Gymnastics. Next Saturday, June 16th Giant Gymnastics of Lafayette will hold its 2nd Annual Summer Kick Off. According to Coach and co-owner Jennifer Packard, “This event is our way of celebrating Fun, Fitness, and the Family. There will be something for everyone to do.” The event is open to the public and families are encouraged to come join in all the fun! There will be a rope course, games, open gym times, and face painting. The gym will also have two demonstrations- at 1:30 a Gymnastics demo done by the Garden Gators team and at 2pm there will be a Martial Arts demo. Not to be forgotten, their new All Star Cheer team will be holding evaluations from 3:30 to 5pm, so if your child is interested in competition cheer they can place them on the correct squad.
There’s plenty for adults as well, with a select number of vendors to shop from, the opportunity to meet the Giant Gymnastics Coaches and to see what their classes and programs are all about. What might be most interesting to parents, however, is the Trampoline safety course they are offering at 1pm. Come learn how to keep your children and their friends safe from needless injuries from trained Coaches.
The day runs from 11am to 5pm, and all are welcome to come play. Daybands are available ahead of time at the gym and that day for $15. It includes all the games, the open gym time, contests, door prizes and demonstrations.
