FANWOOD - The Fanwood Memorial Library has set up a Guinea Pig Cam. Two Guinea pigs joined the FMPL family back in the spring of 2011. Now you can watch them online at the library website: http://www.fanwoodlibrary.org. The guinea pigs can be seen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Their names are Butterscotch Annabelle Squeak and Brownie Beatrix Squiggly. Butterscotch has hair that sticks up and is colored like a calico cat. Brownie is black with a band of brown hair across her back. They are both girls.

The guinea pigs like to snack on carrots and carrot tops and apples that people bring in. According to Carol, the librarian in the children’s section who takes care of Butterscotch and Brownie, they could eat all day long. They are nocturnal, sleeping during the day and staying up at night. But with the kids visiting them after school every day their nocturnal habits have changed.

The Fanwood Memorial Library is located at 14 Tillotson Road. Phone: (908) 322-6400
