PATERSON, NJ - A stationary store on Chamberlain Avenue was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, police said.

A 28-year-old store employee told police he was mopping up the floor at about 1:25 pm when a man came in and pulled an automatic handgun, according to Lt. Richard Reyes.

The suspect forced the employee into a back area of the store, took the worker's cell phone and the money in cash register and fled, police said.

The store is located on the same block where a 7-Eleven had been robbed at gunpoint a month ago. The suspects in that case have been arrested.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about yesterday's robbery to contact Det. Ricardo Vasquez at 973-321-1120.
