Police Release Video of Armed Robbery Suspects

PATERSON, NJ - In an attempt to solve the recent series of armed robberies at Paterson bodegas, city police have released a video of the two masked suspects sticking up a store on Highland Avenue last week.

Police say the susppects in four robberies on November 13 were wearing masks and darkk clothing. They made off with $1,955 in cash, according to authorities.

Police also are looking at connections to several other more recent armed robberies.

On November 13, in all four robberies, the suspects held store employees and patrons at gunpoint. All four armed robberies occurred between the hours of 715 pm and 830 pm and were similar in nature, police said.

The first robbery occurred at the Citco Gas Station at 473 Broadway. Minutes later the second armed robbery occurred at El Lano Grocery Store at 292 15th Avenue where seven victims were held at gunpoint. The third armed robbery was at Laulta Grocery Store at 459 11th Avenue. The fourth armed robbery occurred at Highland Grocery Store located at 42 Highland Street.

The victims in all the robberies provided the same clothing and physical descriptions of the suspects. There were no reported injuries at any of the locations.


All the locations had surveillance systems which captured the suspects committing the armed robberies, police said. Police are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals depicted in the video contact the Paterson Police Department Detective Bureau at 973-321-1120. Detective Sergeant David Scialla, Det. Rafael Fermin, Det. Roberto Mercado, and Det. Brennan Stapleton are investigating the robberies.
