Homeless Man Hospitalized After Mugging

PATERSON, NJ - Three men beat and mugged a homeless man who was in the park on Broadway near Carroll Street Saturday evening, according to police.
The victim, who was in his 20s, said the men approached him at about 7:45 pm and demanded his possessions, according to Sgt. Ivette Otero.
One of the suspects then whacked him with what he believed to be a pipe and the three of them beat him up before leaving the scene, Otero.
The victim was taken to St. Jospeph's Regional Medical Center for treatement.
