Dear Paterson Parents:
After just 212 days on the BOE, I have observed that their isn't a parent support group in P-town. Therefore, I am creating one now.
First, I want you to know that I read every email that is sent to me. It is all confidential, so I will not disclose any info on them.
I will say this: my concerns are your concerns. Not just because of the seat I hold, but because I am a Paterson parent as well.
My two children, Kaniyah & Corey attend schools here just like yours. I have the same worries and questions as you do.
As a parent, I feel having a place to express your desires about what you would like to see in the classrooms is essential to your knowledge and for the academic growth of your child/student.
Our initial meeting will take place on Saturday, December 1, at the cafe' in Center City Mall. I the time will be 12 pm till 5 pm. I encourage all concerned parents to attend and voice the concerns their have.
You elected me to address your concerns. And even if you didn't, I am here to assist you as well. I am here for anyone who needs me. Let's take the time to meet each other.
For various reasons, I didn't have the chance to knock on as many doors as I originally planned. However, I have using the time I have now to catch up on that.
If G-d permits, I want to meet all of the parents in Paterson. And with your help, it can be done. I want to thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
Rest assured that my passion is to serve you - my community, to the best of my ability with G-d being my helper.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me anytime at: (973) 816-6460 M-F 11am-8pm thank you once again.
All the best,
Corey L. Teague
