PATERSON, NJ – The city school district has resolved all but two of the safety and health violations found during state inspections last fall, according to the New Jersey Department of Labor

State inspectors had found 91 safety violations at the school and the district faced more than $123,000 per day in penalties for them. Also, the labor department issued a subsequent report in January that cited the school for several “other than serious” health violations that came with $700 potential fines.

Labor department spokeswoman Kerri Gatling said “all safety violations are abated.’’ She also said the handful of health violations have been resolved except for two. The deadline on those two is February 20, Gatling said.

“No monetary penalties have been issued,’’ she said.

School 4 had been closed for all of the 2011-12 academic year because of damage from post-Hurricane Irene flooding.
