PATERSON, NJ – City police are investigating an outbreak of gold chain snatchings on Paterson’s North Side. In the past week, there have been at least 10 incidents, police said.

The two most recent ones happened Thurday. The first was at 12:05 pm at N. Main and Clinton streets. Police said a man came up from behind a woman in her 60s and grabbed her chain.

Then, about four hours later, a teenage girl had her chain taken under similar circumstances at Union Avenue and Jasper Street.
