Friday, June 8, 2012 • 1:14pm
“I’ll stack my group against any group out there. We enjoy playing, and the audience enjoys having a good time. Music is a shared emotion. We distill it down to that.” For over a third of a century, Southside Johnny has been a staple of the music industry with over thirty albums and thousands of live performances done around the world.
The bands newest album, Pills and Ammo, is full of new material and packed with the bands legendary exuberant rhythm and blues feel and the Jukes horn section, but has a sharper, guitar-oriented, rock and roll vibe to it.
Known for their hits I Don’t Want To Go Home and Havin’ A Party, the band consists of Southside Johnny, Glenn Alexander, Chris Anderson, John Conte, John Isley, Jeff Kazee, Neal Pawley and Tom Seguso.
Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes will be performing at The Newton Theatre on Friday, June 22nd at 8 p.m. Tickets are $59 for Premium seats, $49 for Orchestra seats and $39 for Balcony seats.
