BEDDERideas LLC and friends will be hosting Kicks-For-Kids on July 14, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Oakwood Park in New Providence, NJ. Kicks-For-Kids will be collecting monetary donations as well as Target/Walmart Gift cards to help fund project re:PURPOSE.

Project re:PURPOSE was launched by Kathy Bedder of BEDDERideas LLC. The project’s goal is to provide local room makeovers for children in and near New Providence, who have been thrown a curve ball in life and need a little pick-me-up!

Bedder has decorated well over 100 Wish rooms for The Make-A-Wish Foundation, that have lifted the spirits of children with life-threatening illnesses and has now started Project re:PURPOSE to support local families. “Recycling and repurposing items goes a long way to transforming the atmosphere in a room,” said Bedder.

New Providence resident Derek Estrada is the first recipient of a re:PURPOSE room makeover. Derek, a student at AWR, has been battling Ulceritis Colitis, but he is not letting it get him down!  Although he was not able to play baseball this spring, he has been selflessly participating in various 5K fundraisers to help others with similar diseases.

Children and their families are invited to stop by at any time during the event hours for donuts, bagels, and coffee as well as a friendly game of kickball, wiffle ball, or basketball. Be sure to bring a water gun to cool off when the games are over!
