Brittany Carlin (Summit, Jr.) of Boston University's women's lacrosse team landed a spot on the All-America East first team. The defender out of Chatham High minded the opposition's top offensive threat this season for the Terriers (11-6). She retrieved 19 ground balls, caused 10 turnovers and controlled 14 draws.

Lucy Johnson (Short Hills, Sr.) of William Smith is an All-Liberty League first team member for the third time in her career. Johnson, a Millburn High product, also shared her school's Patricia Price Genovese Lacrosse Award as one of the team's two most valuable players. She scored a team co-high 45 goals this season and led the Herons (9-9) in draw controls with 72, a school record. She called it a career at William Smith with 145 goals and 172 draw controls, which are ranked eighth and first, respectively, all-time at the school. 

Susquehanna's Emma Ehler (Chatham, Soph.) earned All-Landmark Conference first-team honors at midfield. She led the Crusaders (15-2) in goals scored (61) and assists (16). She also racked up 39 draw controls and 35 ground balls.

Megan Leonhard (Summit, Jr.) of Trinity (Conn.) is an All-New England Small College Athletic Conference first-team member. She's tallied 45 goals this season for the Bantams and has assisted on six others. She also controlled 46 draws and picked up 46 ground balls. Trinity (19-1) is still alive in the NCAA Division 3 playoffs and faces Cortland State this Saturday in Montclair.

Dartmouth's Georgia Bird (Summit, Sr.) is an All-Ivy League second team honoree at defense. Bird, who prepped at Kent Place, usually could be found in close proximity to the opposition's leading scorer. She played a large part in keeping the opposition to single digits in goals per game, which the Big Green managed on 10 occasions. Dartmouth concluded a 12-5 season with a loss to Syracuse in the first round of the NCAA Division 1 Tournament.

Goalkeeper Sarah Weber (Summit, Soph.) of Holy Cross is an All-Patriot League second team selection. Weber, a Summit High grad, made 126 saves while playing all but 37 minutes of the season for the Crusaders, who left a 10-8 season in the history books.

Monmouth's Sam Lillo (Short Hills, Sr.) earned All-Northeast Conference second team recognition. The Millburn High grad was tops on the Hawks (9-11) this season in goals scored (42) and draw controls (43).

MEN'S LACROSSE

Princeton's Chad Wiedmaier (Chatham, Sr.) became only the second Ivy Leaguer to garner first team All-League honors all four years in which he was eligible. Wiedmaier, who lines up on defense for the Tigers, ranks fifth in Division 1 in caused turnovers per game and leads a unit that enabled Princeton to rank fourth in Division 1 in scoring defense. The Tigers finished an 11-5 campaign with a 6-5 loss to Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Division 1 Tournament.

Rutgers' Will Mangan (Maplewood, Sr.) has been named Big East Midfielder of the Year, as well as an All-Big East first-team selectee. Mangan, a Columbia High grad, led the Scarlet Knights (6-9) in goals scored (30), and was second on the team in assists (10) and ground balls recovered (46).

Bucknell attackman Billy Eisenreich (Chatham, Sr.) earned All-Patriot League first team honors. Eisenreich, a Chatham High grad, was the first player in the country this season to combine 30 goals and 30 assists. He finished the season with 34 goals and 32 assists and is a Tewaaraton Award finalist. He also is a co-recipient with two others of the Ronald J. "Pete" Pedrick Award, which Bucknell bestows upon members of the senior class who demonstrated improvement and special contributions to Bucknell athletics over a 4-year period.

The Patriot League also honored Colgate's Bobby Lawrence (Summit, Soph.) with a place on the All-League second team at defense. Lawrence, a Summit High grad, has started all 17 games this season for the Raiders (14-3), who face Duke in Philadelphia on Sunday in second-round NCAA Tournament action. He leads Colgate in caused turnovers with 28; he also came up with 47 ground balls, scored two goals and earned three assists.

Misericordia attackman Lee Blair (West Orange, Sr.) came away with All-Freedom Conference first team honors. The Seton Hall Prep grad scored 37 goals and assisted on 28 for the Cougars, who wrapped up an 11-5 season.

Max Blair (West Orange, Jr.) gave the Blair family more to smile about when he earned All-Liberty League honorable mention accolades. Blair, a long-stick midfielder for Rensselaer Poly, scored one goal, caused 13 turnovers and lifted 12 ground balls. RPI had a 10-5 season. 

The All-Commonwealth Conference second team features Widener's Mac Nestler (Chatham, Soph.) in goal. Nestler, a Chatham High product, finished with an 8-4 record for the 9-8 Pride. He stopped 100 shots on goal, with 86 getting past him.

Drew's Charlie DeSocio (Maplewood, Sr.) is an All-Landmark Conference second team selection in goal. DeSocio, who prepped at Columbia High, saw action in all 17 games for Drew (13-4) this season, making 162 saves, while allowing 126 goals.

Roanoke's Jeff Keating (Chatham, Sr.) is an All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference first team honoree at attack. Keating, a Chatham High grad, accounted for 39 goals and 35 assists this season for the Maroons (11-4).

Hobart recognized Matt Campbell (Chatham, Sr.) with its Van Arsdale Award, emblematic of superior scholarship, leadership and determination. Campbell, a Delbarton alum, also was presented with the Dorinne Maxwell Memorial Citizenship Prize, with a financial gift bestowed upon the Navy SEAL Foundation in Campbell's name. He has led the Hobart Lacrosse Helpers efforts in recent years to raise funds for the Foundation, which provides support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare Community and their families.

Joe Cordrey (Summit, Jr.) got credit for causing a turnover, although Union (N.Y.) saw its season end with a 9-4 loss to Cortland State in NCAA Division 3 Tournament action on Wednesday in Cortland, N.Y. The Dutchmen finished the season 13-5.

BASEBALL

Dan Perrine (Scotch Plains, Sr.) went 2-for-4 on Wednesday as Rutgers dropped a 5-4 decision to Iona in Piscataway. The second baseman out of Oratory rapped a pair of singles for the Scarlet Knights (28-23).
