Millburn Police Arrest Two on Drugs, Weapons Charges

On April 3, police arrested Dechantel Seymour and Auvil Mattis on Millburn Avenue, where they were pulled over for having an expired inspection sticker. Police found marijuana, a stun gun and a folding knife in the car. Both were charged with drug and weapons offenses and released pending a court date.
On March 18, police responded to Taylor Park on a report of a juvenile who had just had his cell phone stolen. The boy reported he had been approached by a male who grabbed his iPhone and ran off. Later a police officer observed Naquan Fairley, 19, of Union, who matching the victim's description, walking out of a pawn shop and counting money. On investigation, police discovered Fairley had sold the victim's iPhone. Further investigation revealed several items that had been stolen and later sold by Fairley. He was arrested and changed with theft.
