Outdoor Movie Night - "Dolphin Tale"

Trinity Covenant Church

Friday, August 17, 2012 • 8:28am

Summer’s not over yet!  Enjoy an inspiring story of the bond between animals and humans, and a second chance at life, at Trinity Covenant Church’s outdoor showing of the feature film, “Dolphin Tale,” this Sunday night, Aug 26.

The event begins at 7:30 pm; the film will start at 8:30 pm.

Trinity is located at 343 East Cedar Street in Livingston (just off Northfield Ave).  The film will be shown outdoors; admission is free, but bring a chair or a blanket to sit on.  Refreshments will be available. (In the event of rain, the film will be shown indoors at 7:30 pm.)  A playground for little children is available within sight of the screen.

“Dolphin Tale,” starring Harry Connick, Jr., Ashley Judd, Nathan Gamble, Kris Kristofferson and Morgan Freeman, is the story of an injured dolphin named Winter, who has lost her tail.  Thanks to the expertise of a marine biologist (Connick) and a the brilliance of a prosthetist (Freeman) charged with creating a new tail, brought together and inspired by a boy named Sawyer who wouldn’t give up, Winter may get a second chance at life.

The film is inspired by the amazing true story of a brave dolphin and the compassionate people who banded together to save her life at Clearwater Marine Hospital in Florida – and the real Winter plays herself in the movie.  The film is rated PG.
