Madison Police Make Arrest in Armed Robbery Case

On Wednesday May 30, Detective Sean Plumstead arrested 32-year-old Newark resident Jason K. Locket and charged him with the May 22 armed robbery of the Madison Shell gas station. Arrest warrants were signed on May 25 for Armed Robbery (1st degree), Theft (3rd degree), Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (2nd degree) and unlawful possession of a weapon (3rd degree).
Locket was arrested in Newark NJ and tuned over to the Madison Police Department by NJ State Parole Officers. Locket was processed and remanded to the Morris County Jail in default of $100,000.00 bail.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
