Madison Man Arrested for Assault

On 5/22/2012 at approximately 9:42 a.m. Patrolman Chad Rybka arrested 27 year old Angelo Felix of Orange N.J. on the strength of a $650.00 traffic warrant issued by Wayne Township Municipal Court. Ptl. Rybak initially stopped Felix on Madison Avenue for an overdue inspection violation. A computer check on his name alerted him that there was an active traffic warrant. He was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released after posting bail, pending a mandatory court appearance. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for overdue inspection.

On 5/24/ 2012 at approximately 2:22 a.m. Sgt. Joe Cirella arrested 20 year old Yahya Almansour of West Heaven CT. He charged him with under age possession of alcohol. Sgt. Cirella initially stopped Almansour for an equipment violation. He determined that he was in possession of alcohol. He as taken to headquarters for processing. During processing Sgt. Cirella determined there was a $250.00 dollar traffic warrant issued by Atlantic City Municipal Court. For failure to appear. After processing he was released after posting bail pending a mandatory court appearance. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for an expired registration.

On 5/25/2012 at approximately 1:26 a.m. Patrolman Paul Papamarkos arrested 60 year old Jake Locket of Madison N.J. He charged him with simple assault. Ptl. Papamarkos responded to 34 Alexander Avenue on a disturbance complaint. He determined that locked he assaulted a female friend while visiting her at her apartment. He was taken to headquarters for processing. After processing he was released pending a mandatory court appearance. Sgt. Cirella assisted with the arrest.

On 5/27/2012 at approximately 9:15 p.m. Sgt. John Miscia arrested 35 year old Dean Rado of West Milford N.J. He charged him with hindering apprehension. Sgt. Miscia initially stopped Rado on Main Street near Union Avenue for failure to wear a seat belt and driving with a suspended driver’s license. After a short field investigation Sgt. Miscia determined Rado was given a false name to avoid apprehension. He was taken to headquarters for processing. During processing it was determined that there was an active arrest warrant issued by Dumont Municipal Court for $1000.00 dollars for failure to appear , and a 2nd warrant issued by Passaic County Court for a violation of probation.

After processing Rado was released to the custody of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department, Pending a mandatory court appearance on all charges. Ptl. Sean McCarthy assisted with the arrest.

The Madison Police Department, Fire Department, and Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to approximately 17 medical emergencies.

Madison Police Department investigated 9 motor vehicle crashes during the week.

All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
