Kessler Institute to Host “A Day in the Life of West Orange” Photo Exhibit

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation (www.kessler-rehab.com) will host a special reception to showcase the work of local photographers on Thursday evening, May 24th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 in its lobby gallery. The exhibit includes photographs taken by 17 local photographers, who sought to capture “A Day in the Life of West Orange.” Over a 24-hour period on September 21, 2011, they photographed the wide range of activities that reflect the diversity, spirit and scope of activities within the community.
“This important exhibit demonstrates what a vibrant community West Orange is,” said Bonnie A. Evans, CEO, Kessler Institute. “We are honored to have these photographs on display in our lobby gallery and invite local residents to join us in celebrating the richness of the town we call ‘home.’”
This unique project, which was organized by the West Orange Arts Council under the direction of Vice-Chair Mansa K. Mussa, includes the work of photographers Terry Boddie, Mayer Chalom, Bill Cofone, Tony Cordoza, Nancy Heins-Glaser, George Kopp, Annette Kushen, Nathea Lee, John Mitrano, Mary Ellen Morrow, Mansa K. Mussa, Amelia Panico, Yves Norton Pierre, Marian Rubin, Heidi Sussman, Joya Angola Thompson and Doug Zacker.
