There’s plenty of summer left for great experiences for area youngsters. The Summit Department of Community Programs has two fabulous camp programs that are sure to please children from 3 years of age and older. These programs are open to residents and non- residents alike. The programs are held outside of the Summit Community Center at 100 Morris Avenue. There is still time to get your child enrolled. By now, the kids must be bored and looking for something to do. Get them out of the house and into some new activities. These two programs have enjoyed rave reviews and have been brought back annually by popular demand.
Multi Sports and Sports Squirts Programs are fun by US Sports Institute. These two programs are dedicated to the true sports enthusiast. Each week your child will be introduced to over 15 different sports that have originated from all parts of the world. All camps will be held behind the Community Center. Full and half day programs are available now through August 23rd. Don’t delay as they fill up quickly. Multi Sports Full and Half Day Camps are available for school age children through teens. Sports Squirts is the same type of curriculum but scaled to meet the particular needs of kids from ages 3-5.
Kids who show an interest in learning to ride a horse or just to learn how to care for them, have got to try Pony Share! Programs are available the weeks of August 6-9 and August 13-16. These unique programs will introduce children ages 3 - 11 to the wonderful world of horses in a fun-filled, non- threatening atmosphere. Pony Share uses ponies which are much smaller and easier to handle. Wear your boots and bicycle helmets.
