Caldwell College Women’s Cougars Rack Up Fourth Straight Win

CALDWELL, NJ - Nyack College Warriors went down, 77-55, against the Caldwell College Women’s Basketball Team last night.
Midway through the first half, Caldwell’s Chelsea Loscalzo’s three-pointer brought her team to a 27-13 lead. At one point, their lead grew to 28 points over the New York team, before closing with a score of 46-25 Cougars. On her own, Torey Jones scored 13 points in the first half.

Again, with 14:12 to play at the beginning of the second half, seven points from Jones helped bring the Cougar's lead to 57-30. A three-pointer from Warrior freshman guard Tori Trador (from Seminole, FL, studying Nursing) helped get her team closer with 5:07 remaining, but the score still stayed in Caldwell’s favor: 68-51.
Sophomore guard, Morgan Thompson, from Neptune and studying Psychology, scored a three-pointer which helped the Cougars claim the win to end the game 22 points over the Warriors.

Last night’s Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game took place in the George R. Newman Center. The Cougars record improved to 8-11 overall and 6-4 in the league, while the Warriors dropped to 0-16, 0-9 CACC.
Saturday, Jan. 26, the Cougars continue with another CACC game against Philadelphia University, beginning at 2pm, in Philadelphia, PA.
