SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Thieves stripped the tires from four Hondas between Feb. 8 and Feb. 13, leaving the victims’ vehicles sitting on cinder blocks.

Police said the thieves targeted recent-model Hondas, ranging from 2011 to 2013. In the most recent incident, owners of two cars parked in the Our Lady of Sorrows parking lot were victimized between 7:30 and 9 p.m. on Feb. 13. In addition, the vehicles were broken into and cell phones, cash and a laptop were removed.

Tires were stolen from a vehicle parked in a Riggs Place driveway between 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 and 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 9. A Prospect Street resident reported the same thing happened to his car. He left the vehicle parked at the corner of Prospect Street and Irvington Avenue at 8 p.m. on and when he returned three hours later, the tires were gone.

Another Riggs Place resident said someone attempted to steal the tires from his vehicle between 6 p.m. on Feb. 8 and 10:45 a.m. on Feb. 9. His vehicle was parked on the street.

In other police news:

• A witness told police he saw a male remove a temporary license plate from the bumper of a Mercedes Benz parked in the NJ Transit Lot located behind the main train station. The man left in a blue BMW. The incident occurred Feb. 14.
   
• A Western Drive resident said that someone entered his vehicle and removed an iPod and a pair of glasses. The incident occurred Feb. 13.
   
• A South Ridgewood Road resident said that someone stole his vehicle, which was parked in his driveway. The vehicle was found in Newark a few hours later by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. The incident occurred Feb. 14.
   
• A Charlton Avenue resident said that someone had entered her vehicle by damaging the driver’s side door. It was parked in a municipal parking lot. Nothing was reported stolen. The incident occurred Feb. 14.
   
• A Seton Hall student said that while he was playing basketball at the recreation center someone had removed his iPhone. The incident occurred Feb 12.
   
• A female said that while she was attending a house party on Ward Place, she left her North Face jacket; once she came back, she had discovered it had been stolen. The jacket also contained jewelry. The incident occurred Feb. 9.
   
• A South Orange resident said that someone had broken into his vehicle and stole the front headlight bulbs from his vehicle while it was parked in a lot on South Orange Avenue. The incident occurred Feb. 9.
