OHIO- With only 26 days until one of the most important presidential elections in history, things are starting to heat up.  For the past two days, Governor Chris Christie has been campaigning in Ohio, a swing state, with Governor Mitt Romney, hoping to persuade people to vote Republican come November.

On Wednesday, he spoke at a town hall style meeting and was definitely fired up. While he was happy to be in Ohio, he was furious about the things he alleged the Obama administration has been saying and doing.

“I’m happy to be in the place that’s going to make sure that Mitt Romney is the next President of the United States of America,” Christie said.

He praised Romney for dominating in last week’s debate and ridiculed President Obama. He said he predicted Romney would win, because all he needed to do was tell the truth and he did.

But, the President on the other hand looked like a lost boy, Christie said. Christie said Obama looked confused and was continually searching for answers that weren’t there. The President couldn’t explain why people are still suffering or without jobs, yet he wants people to re-elect him, Christie said.

“We need to make sure that we don’t let the American people get fooled again,” he said.

He stressed this isn’t like four years ago. The country is falling apart and needs someone to step up and save it, he said.

“Truth is Mitt Romney has a plan that’s going to get Americans back to work,” Christie said. “This election is about the Republican Party being the truth tellers.”

Ohio will be the difference in this election, Christie said. Whichever candidate squeezes out a win in the state will become the next president, he predicted. Residents of Ohio need to get involved and tell their friends and family to vote for Romney, he said.  People cannot sit on the sidelines and remain silent anymore, he said.

“Politics in 2012 is not a spectator sport,” he said. “We don’t accept failure in this country.”
