EMERGENCY DISASTER ASSISTANCE
The Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Social Services will be providing Emergency Disaster Assistance for Hopatcong Residents. If you have ANY non-food expenses incurred during Super-storm Sandy you may receive reimbursement. Bring proof of identification and residency, proof of income and any receipts for out of pocket expenses between 10/28/12 to 11/26/12. Net monthly income during the expensed period, (net pay plus any liquid assets such as a checking account), for a family of one is $2,268.00 and increases by family size. TAX ASSESSMENT REVIEW
PROPERTY DAMAGE FROM STORM
In light of the recent Super-storm Sandy, some residents sustained substantial property damage. The Sussex County Board of Taxation has prepared a form for property owners to report storm related damage for possible assessment reduction effective January 1, 2013. The form is located on the Sussex County Website attached. This form must be returned to the Hopatcong Tax Assessor no later than 1/10/13.
