WEST ORANGE, NJ - Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo announced at a Press Conference today at Turtleback Zoo the results of the Deer Management Program:

No deer were hunted in Eagle Rock Reservation this year. These numbers represent a drop from 274 deer (175 deer and 99 unborn deer) removed in 2012. South Mountain Reservation is located in Maplewood, Millburn and West Orange, and Hilltop Reservation is in Cedar Grove, North Caldwell and Verona.
The Deer Management Program is conducted to keep the deer population under control, sustain the ecology of the reservations, and protect drivers.
