SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Don’t put those Halloween costumes away! The date for South Orange Halloween Festival has been changed – again.
The events at Spiotta Park will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, with trick-or-treating to follow at participating businesses downtown. The event, originally planned for Halloween, was initially postponed until Friday, Nov. 2.
“We learned today that Maplewood has rescheduled from Friday to Monday, and we fell that both communities should hold their events on the same date (along with the majority of the state),” Matt Glass wrote in an email to The Alternative Press. He is the chairman of the board of directors for the Village Center Alliance.
Glass added, “This decision was made in cooperation with the village, and we hope you and your family will join us on Monday afternoon.”
